Peter Leppik, CEO

Peter Leppik PhotoPeter founded Vocal Laboratories Inc. in 2001 to apply scientific principles of data collection and analysis to the problem of building highly actionable and effective customer feedback programs. Leppik is a frequent industry speaker on the topic of measuring and improving the customer experience. He is also coauthor of Gourmet Customer Service: A Scientific Approach to Improving the Caller Experience. At Vocalabs, Leppik has assembled a team of professionals with deep expertise in survey methodology, data communications and data visualization to provide clients with best-in-class tools for improving the customer experience through real-time customer feedback. Mr. Leppik holds B.S. degree in Physics from the University of Minnesota and an M.S. degree in Physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a Board member of the Bell Museum of Natural History and Planetarium.

Rob Jackson, Managing Partner, Business Development

Rob Jackson PhotoRob is a sales and marketing executive with a passion for building high trust relationships and increasing key results for customers. He brings a breadth and depth of customer relationship experience from a broad range of industries including: professional services, loyalty marketing, on-site communications, and SaaS e-commerce industries. Rob joined Vocalabs in 2011 to head our business development effort.

In addition to his distinguished career, Rob is an avid bicyclist and bicycle advocate. He enjoys sea kayaking along with downhill and cross-country skiing.

David Leppik, Senior Developer

David Leppik PhotoDavid Leppik is the Principal Software Developer and a Managing Director at Vocalabs. His deep knowledge of data analytics, data visualization and human factors began at the University of Minnesota, where he obtained a MS in Computer Science while researching collaborative filtering. He brought this experience to Net Perceptions, the company which popularized recommendation software. He joined Vocalabs in 2002, where he coauthored Gourmet Customer Service: A Scientific Approach to Improving the Caller Experience. He provides Vocalabs with software to keep surveys running smoothly and turn customer feedback into useful knowledge. David is also very active in the First Universalist Church of Minneapolis where he serves as a board member and youth leader.

Daniel Taylor, VP of Operations

Dan Taylor PhotoDaniel Taylor is a Managing Director at Vocalabs and a founding employee. As VP of Operations, he is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of Vocalabs' datacom and telecom systems, and oversees data security. Dan has decades of experience in Linux system administration, and prior to joining Vocalabs worked on developing embedded systems. Dan is a veteran of the U.S. Navy's submarine force.
