Bob Garfield, NPR media guru, has a new book out called "Can't Buy me Like." I haven't read it, but my guess is it's worth $12.99 just for the title alone.
Rather than plug the book, though, I'm going to plug the 25-minute segment he did yesterday for Talk of the Nation. It doesn't break any new ground (at least for those of us who have been around long enough to remember the Cluetrain Manifesto), but he makes an excellent argument for why companies need to focus more on providing genuine customer experiences and less on mass media advertising.
Plus, you can listen to the interview for free.
